Choose Your Own Art Project
Project Reflection:
My idea for the create your own art project came from a random conversation, where a friend joked about faking photos of modern things to make them look old. After thinking about it, I decided to actually try to pull this off, taking photos of an SD card, a computer mouse, and a third photo which was more cluttered, including a drink can, an envelope, and COVID test paperwork. I then used an online photo editing program (Pixlr E) to attempt to create a look as if it was taken with a vintage camera, experimenting with both B&W and Sepia color schemes. I wasn't able to find much information on how to do this unfortunately, so I mostly had to use old photos as a reference.

Project Reflection:
I don't think I did as well as I could have with project or put as much time as I could have. I also could have chosen a project I'm more passionate about. The subject I chose was more a simple thing out of curiosity would like to have more time to refine each photo, but with how much work I've had to do in the recent weeks this class was often sidelined or forgotten. Not because I don't enjoy the class, but because of the aforementioned lack of passion and stress from other classes.

Self Portrait Project
Project DescriptionIn this project I used a balaclava and sunglasses to cover my face, then added filters and darkened the background with Pixlr for an iPhone.

Artist StatementI designed this project to show how I am a private person that likes to keep to themselves, which I did by hiding the most public part of myself here.
